CAREER HISTORY: June 2007 to Present: WS Atkins & Partners: Project Health and Safety Manager Central Market Abu Dhabi Lead team of Safety Managers and other safety professionals to manage safety across the Central Market project Abu Dhabi. Head of Safety for all activities across the project. The current workforce is in excess of 40000 labours, working 24 hours per day. The HSSE team consists of fourteen safety managers, fourteen senior safety engineers, thirty safety engineers, and over sixty safety officers. Working on one of the most prestigious sites in Abu Dhabi consisting of three high rise building 88 68, 66 storeys high buildings with a souk the contract was to set an example of Health and Safety implementation has become a prime site for important visitors such as the Municipality, Ministry of Labour and many other important guests. The team is responsible for all emergency response and co-ordination as well as ‘normal’ safety functions include;         

Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Environmental Management issues on the site. Overseeing the Contractors Health and Safety performance on site. Ensuring that the Client ALDAR HSSE Systems are implemented fully Checking that 3rd party certification for temporary and other works were available for inspection. Working closely with the Contractor and their contractors to ensure that a high standard of Health & Safety is maintained on the site. Being the leading authority on behalf of the Client to cease any unsafe act or omissions on site and where necessary place improvement or prohibition notices on the unsafe conditions or works. Leading the Contractors safety team on safety issues effecting the works to come to a suitable working arrangement. Working closely with the Municipality and enforcing authorities Working closely with the Project Manager and other consultants.

 Preparing comprehensive and technical reports on audits and safety inspections for he Project Management Team and the Client  Policing the site on a regular basis, investigating Major accidents and Incidents.  Appointed by the Client as their representative on site to implement their 4 star award system on site. Jan 2004 to June 2007: Cyril Sweett Limited: Senior Planning Supervisor & Health and Safety Consultant; Working on some of the most prestigious sites in Manchester such as the rebuilding of the Arndale, Warrington Golden Square City Centre and the demolition and rebuilding of Stamford town centre.
