Fall Doorway Emboidery 1. Potted Plant You need green embroidery thread for the stems and thread with color gradient from light to dark green for the leaves (or you may choose three different greens). First work the stems with backstitches, then form the leaves from five lazy daisy stitches each.

2. Doorknob Embroider the knob with satinstitches using brown thread. Stitch around with backstitches.
Three-Dimensional Sunflower
1. Draw nine small circles on yellow fabric for the petals and one larger circle on brown fabric for the sunflower middle, cut out (templates for the circles are on the sheet with the appliquè patterns).
2. Fold the yellow circles twice. Take a tearproof thread (e.g. quilting thread), make a bulky knot and gather the circle with a few stitches.
3. Gather one petal after another, paying attention that the open fold always shows in the same direction.
4. Tighten the thread forming a circlet, sew together the first and the last petal, so the circlet will not undo.
6. Tighten the thread ... 5. Gather the brown circle for the sunflower middle with wide stitches. Use matching brown thread.
7. ... turn over and appliqué to the petal-circle with the same thread. Don’t cut off this thread but sew the sunflower to the fall doorway block with it.
