Students will be tested again in DIBELS and DRA for reading. We will finish our persuasive letters and learn about the holiday season. Dec. 7 – Winter Celebration @ 7pm Dec. 8 – Bring ONE shoe to school for St. Nick Dec. 8 – 2nd grade restaurant night @ 6pm Dec. 15 – Bring wrapped gift to school. Dec. 16 – H1N1 vaccine given Dec. 17 – School-wide field trip to King Pin @ 9:30-12:30 Dec. 18 – Polar Express Pajama Day Dec. 18 – Holiday Party @ 2:30 •

Students will be exchanging gifts during the holiday party. The gift should be a wrapped game between $2 to $4 dollars. If you are not able to get a gift, please send a note to school. It is not a requirement. Please bring the wrapped gift in by Tues. Dec. 15th. • If you would like to help in the classroom Wed, Dec 9th @ 10:3011:30 am or Monday, Dec. 14 @ 10:30-11:30 am, please let me know. Next week we will start our holiday celebration unit. If you do not want your child participating in these events, please let me know and they will do another education project. o Dec. 7 -11 – Santa’s Around the World (focusing on England, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Mexico, France) o Dec. 14 – 17 – Holidays (focusing on Hanukah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas) Turn in missing work by Friday.
