Students completed their personal narratives and they have been scored using the JCPS writing continuum. Students are to be performing at the Higher Developing Skills level. They get a 3 and are a writing star. If they are above that level, it is a 4. • I give out awards during the writing celebration. Students who got a 3 or 4 are a “Writing Star” and those who got a 1 or 2 are “Shooting Stars.” Shooting Stars have a few areas to work on and have the potential to get better with practice. Over the next two months I will need some help in the classroom with art activities. If you would like to help, send a note. The first two dates coming up is 10/23 and 10/24 in the afternoon.

Class book orders are due this Friday but our school book fair is on it’s way! Be on the look out for information from the library
