DOCTOR AND PATIENT BÁC SĨ VÀ BỆNH NHÂN

A woman was having some trouble with heart, so she went to see the doctor. He was a new doctor, and did not know her, so he first asked some questions and one of them was, “how old are you?” “Well” she answered, “I don’t remember, doctor, but I will try to think.” She thought for a minute and then said,”Yes, I remember now, doctor! When I married, I was eighteen years old, and my husband was thirty. Now my husband is sixty, I know, and that is twice thirty, so I am twice eighteen, that is thirty six, isn’t it?”

Môt người phụ nữ bị bệnh tim mạch vì thế bà ñã ñi bác sĩ. Bác sĩ là một người mới , không biết bà, vì thế thoạt ñầu ông hỏi vài câu hỏi, trong ñó có câu: ”Bà bao nhiêu tuổi?” “ À,” người phụ nữ trả lời “ Tôi không nhớ, thưa bác sĩ , nhưng tôi sẽ cố nghĩ xem”. Bà suy nghĩ trong một chốc, ñoạn nói “ Vâng, hiện tôi nhớ ra rồi, thưa bác sĩ ! Khi tôi lập gia ñình tôi mới 18 tuổi và chồng tôi 30 tuổi. Bây giờ chồng tôi 60 tuổi , tôi biết tuổi ñó là gấp ñôi tuổi 30. Vậy thì tôi gấp ñôi tuổi 18, tức là 36 tuổi, có phải không ạ !”
