Discipline: - Put all the students’ names on the board, and give them 3-5 stars/smiley faces/flowers/pig faces, or anything else quick and easy to draw. Now they know you’re keeping track, and you have something to take away as soon as anyone acts up - Keep track of them as teams. Give and take points to the entire group based on the actions of any one.

Punishment Guidelines: - Try to be flexible and to avoid ultimatums. - Give the child choices. He can accept one punishment, or do something even worse. - When punishing one student, give the other students the funnest possible activities so that they stay on your side, and the naughty student realizes he would rather participate. - Be patient: problem kids won’t be cured in one class. Just make sure the other kids know that they don’t want to follow his example.

Punishments: - Take away points. - Even better, give everyone else points. - Change his seat. (if he’ll stay in it). - Make him copy sentences: threaten to increase the number if he takes too long. - When all else fails, take him to the boss, and call his parents. But when this happens, even if his parents beat him, he still beat you. Give him this threat many times before actually doing it.
