Alternate Method(s) to Assist Students Have students create study cards. Pose a question regarding a key concept on the front of the card and have the answer to the question on the back of the card. Have students create snapshots; a recall device that shows students how to define key terms through illustration. Drawing pictures that will associate an image with a term. Provide students with proper letter format outline and examples.

Alternate Method(s) to Challenge Students Have students create a movie strip illustrating a sequence of events that occurred during World War II. Have students create acronyms or mnemonic devices to remember key terms.

Have students demonstrate knowledge and understanding of topic by writing a reflection paper about their veteran’s response letter.
