Electrochemical corrosion ( Ăn mòn điện hóa học) Electrochemical corrosion is the most common and serious type of metal corrosion in nature. a) Conept of electrochemical corrosion: Khái niệm về ăn mòn điện hóa học Electrochemical corrosion is the redox - oxidation process in which the metal is corroded by the action of the electrolyte solution and forms a stream of electrons moving from the cathode to the anode. b) Conditions occur electrochemical corrosion ( Điều kiện xảy ra ăn mòn điện hóa học) The electrodes must be intrinsically different, be it pairs of different metals, or metal pairs - nonmetals, or metal pairs - chemical compounds The electrodes must be in direct or indirect contact with each other through wires. The electrodes are in contact with the electrolyte solution.
