Salonga Section: DEVC11 C-3L Title: Malunggee Gives Malunggay Ice Cream Medium: AV Powerpoint Type: Dramatic Length: 3-5 minutes Intended Audience: Mothers and Children Learning Objectives: After viewing the presentation, the audience should be able to: 1. Enumerate the nutritional benefits one can get from Malunggay; 2. Clarify that Malunggay Ice Cream does not exhibit a bitter taste and 3. Cite reasons why mothers will patronize Malunggay Ice Cream Treatment: To start the AVP, an ice cream bell will be heard. As soon as the bell is heard, a montage of video clips will be seen wherein children are buying, eating and enjoying their ice creams as this will serve as evidence of the children’s fondness. Simultaneously, the children’s giggles and laughs will be heard. The children’s laughs will fade out as soon as the scene showing a mother and her daughter in a dining area starts. The scene will illustrate the common situation in which mothers plead their children to eat the vegetables they serve. Typically, the child refuses to eat the vegetable. As soon as she says no, her mother displays an awful expression showing her disappointment and worry about her child’s nourishment. Before that scene ends, Malunggee – the Malunggay Ice Cream cartoon – appears and introduces the Malunggay Ice Cream. The narrator then tells them about the Malunggay Ice Cream and all the nutrients it contains. The scene fades out as soon as another scene starts. This scene would be like the first scene, a montage of children surrounding an ice cream vendor as their giggles are heard. A scene will be shown showing that the children start buying and liking the nutritious Malunggay Ice Cream. Their mothers will also be seen eating the same ice cream. Before the AVP ends, Malunggee will again be seen and happily says goodbye.
