The LaRues - Missionaries To The Dominican Republic December ‘05 - January ‘06 Psa 126:6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We would like to wish all of you a Happy Holidays from the LaRues in the Dominican Republic. Since our last letter things have been going really well here. I reported in our last letter that I started preaching in September in Los Charquitos. Attendance had dropped off so there were no regular people coming . I had prayed much about what to do. I decided to start a bible study with a family in Los Tayota on the 31st of October. In the following week we had 3 people saved. I will list all their names so that you will be able to pray for them by name: Alijando, Calma Pena Santana, and Miguel Two weeks later, Miss Andrena Pena Santana was saved during the bible study, what a blessing this was. Please pray for these people as well as the other people of Los Charquitos and Los Tayota. Also as I reported in our last letter, I would be starting services in La Lanza for the Dominican people there. We already hold services for the Hatians there, but there have not been regular services there for the Dominicans. On November 11th, we held our first service and had approximately 40 people in attendance. At the close of the service 3 people answered the invitation and was saved. Alta Gracia Feliz, Maria Feliz Ferrera and Miquel Angel Acosta. Two weeks later on the 24th of November after preaching “Jesus Christ Our Perfect Sacrifice”, 8 more people accepted Jesus Christ as their perfect sacrifice. Mercedes Reyes, Domingo Paredes Ramirez, Robel Feliz, Yani Feliz, Carolina Fereras, Nory Garcia, Mileine Ramirez, and Cadeth Fereras And on the 3rd of December Ramona Cuevas Feliz was saved also. I had been able to lead 12 precious souls to the Lord since we've started there. It is a wonderful blessing to see God doing a work in these people's lives. On the 18th of November, we attempted to hold our first service in Las Savana, but after 2 flat tires Antonio my translator had to walk 5 miles to Polo to get another tire and return. We had to return home, it was a disappointment to say the least. But on the following week on the 25th we tried again with the tires fixed and another spare, this time we made it there on 4 tires, but as we got out, we found that two of the tires had holes the size of silver dollars, but we had made it. God blessed. We had 16 adults in attendance. I preached on the wages of sin, and when I gave the altar call, 15 of those adults answered the call to salvation- 2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.). These are their names: Dainisa, Kika, Gorge, Felipe, Elvirio, Guillermina, Alvadeni, Pacual, Edita, Yosi, Altagacia, Ana-Julia, Samuel, Dogracia, and Terfida. These are precious in His sight. Thank you all for your continued support, prayer and financial. Without the help of God's people, the Devil would keep these people in darkness. But now for these people, the “Light of the Glorious Gospel” has shone in, making the darkness depart. Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:. What a blessing. Brother Chris LaRue
