Dear Sir, I am pursuing Masters in Information Technology and Management at the School of Management in the University of Texas at Dallas. I am writing this letter to explore the opportunities for an internship/co-op position in your firm. Academically, my GPA is 3.5/4 at University of Texas at Dallas and secured a First Class during my undergrads from University of Pune in Computer Engineering. Until now as a grad student I have developed the principles and basis of Statistics, Databases and System Analysis, SAP. Further, I plan to take up courses which would help me gain knowledge in Business Intelligence, Project Management and SAS. My engineering course work developed my programming skills in many languages and I also got an opportunity to do a live project with KPIT Cummins Ltd. My engineering background taught me how to think and approach problems analytically. I have developed a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to contribute to both individually and in a team environment. I have also developed and demonstrated strong interpersonal skills from working closely with engineers on projects, delivering numerous presentations, and involving myself in extracurricular activities. I am interested in an internship position in your firm, as it would allow me to combine the skills I have developed through my past experience.
