Project: TORI Web Application (Tokyo Operations Reporting Interface) This project was implemented to achieve a paperless reporting system. It sourced data from Equity backoffice system to produce various settlement, management, exception, operational and regulatory reports. This application provides viewing, searching, printing and archival facilities for reporting. The back-office system sourced variety of trades from different front office systems. It sends Stock and Cash settlement instructions to clearing houses. It also provides feed to General Ledger and other downstream systems. Responsibilities: Development of a Reporting Interface as part of the middle office settlement team. I am involved in analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and production support of JSP, Servlets, on Jrun 4.0.6, Solaris.

Project: WebSphere MQ – Java JMS Support Part of 3 member strong L3 MQ Java Support team (HURDDC). Involved in resolving customer issues concerning Java JMS, while using Websphere MQ. This includes supporting and resolving issues on Embedded Messaging in Websphere Application Server. Responsibilities: Simulation of customer application scenario w.r.t. Project: Fiserv – FIS Part of a team involved in bug fixing for Insurance based product called FISERV. This project was for a US client as an insurance based application. Responsibilities: Bug fixing and unit testing of modules. Project involved Servlets, Core Java, DB2 and WSAD. I was assigned the challenge to quickly fix up large number of bugs at a fast pace. Project: LAWSON – Re Architecting and Migration Project This project involved a redesigning certain components of an existing suite of financial products, which were dependent on CORBA. Project involved re-implementation of a part of the server and migration of part of the system from CORBA based architecture to the J2EE based EJB related architecture Responsibilities: Analysis, design, development and unit testing of Core Java and J2EE components. I also got an opportunity to lead a team of 5 for a particular implementation. Main technologies here included Core Java, Servlets on Weblogic Server and Oracle 8i database.

Project: SACNET MESSENGER, SACNET BROADCASTER A couple of network based utilities that were developed for SACNET, a campus-wide network of Space Application Center, ISRO Ahmedabad. Responsibilities: Feasibility study, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation. Both these utilities were purely Java based and followed complete SDLC. The designing of the project was done using Rational Rose as design tool. These projects followed the Rational Unified Process.
