Inadequate public transport services to move, that’s why feeling uncomfortable. Facing uncomfortable to practicing openly their religion and do not have easy access to go temple for worship. In work place Arjun facing discrimination. His colleagues using abusive language and racial comments towards him.
As a migrant to new country their needs are affecting to their right to access and equity in different way. However, they are
newly in this country they are not getting suitable job, so they suffering for suitable and convenient accommodation and location of place. Though they do not have private transportation so they do not feel free to access their religion. The whole family facing trouble to access Gurdwara, their worship place. Arjun and Rhani have enough experience in their particular job field. However, having enough experience and knowledge they are not getting relevant job in their field. Though they are not getting expected job that’s why they do not have enough money. So they are not getting convenient house, it’s also affect their family life and creating adverse effect upon their child. In work place Arjun facing discrimination. His colleagues using abusive language and racial comments towards him. As a migrant he does not know how to handle this and how to overcome from this situation. He does not have enough knowledge to about work place rules and regulation and OH&S, EEO(Equal Employment and Opportunity). Moreover he does not about Anti-Discrimination Law. So all the things are barrier to access to rights to access and equity. 2. Understanding of Sikh culture: 3. Interview the family: At the time of interview the family, we have to aware of the family’s view, norms, religion, tradition, beliefs, culture. We may use the research methods and technique of interviewing such as structure questionnre or un-structure questionnre format. We can also use the Anthropological method of participant observation to collect the information and understand their culture and religion. I think participant observation is the best way and unique way of collect information. We may have to maintain the safe and appropriate distance according to their views, culture between interviewer and woman and children. At time of interview be aware that is it
necessary to ask permission from husband to talk the wife or children. At the time of interview we have to make sure of client’s age, sex, gender. We have maintain proper body language, eye contact, language etc according to their religion, beliefs, tradition, norms, culture. We have to be aware and show respect towards the elder people and female. At the time of interview we have to aware of cultural and religious beliefs, values, norms, tradition, rituals of the family.
