CSEA ANNOUNCES ENDORSEMENTS IN ALBANY AND COLONIE RACES Albany -- CSEA today announces the union’s endorsement of the following candidates in City of Albany and Town of Colonie races: ALBANY – Gerald Jennings – Mayor Leif Engstrom – City Auditor Dominick Calsolaro – 1st Ward Common Council Ronald Bailey – 3rd Ward Common Council Barbara Smith - 4th Ward Common Council Richard Conti – 6th Ward Common Council John Rosenzweig – 8th Ward Common Council James Sano – 9th Ward Common Council Michael O’Brien – 12th Ward Common Council Dan Herring – 13th Ward Common Council Joe Igoe – 14th Ward Common Council. TOWN OF COLONIEPaula Mahan – Colonie Town Supervisor Paul Rosano – Colonie Town Board Daniel Hornick – Colonie Town Board Peter Crouse – Colonie Town Board Elizabeth Del Torto – Colonie Town Board C. Michele Zilgme – Colonie Town Board CSEA represents approximately 5000 active and retiree members living in Albany County. CSEA is informing its members of the endorsement and encouraging their vote in the general election on November 3. CSEA is New York State’s leading union, representing employees of New York State and its counties, towns, villages, school districts, library systems, authorities and public corporations. Together with a growing population of private sector members and 50,000 retirees, CSEA forms a union 265,000 strong. It is also the largest affiliate (and Local 1000) of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) which, in turn, is one of the largest affiliates of the AFL-CIO. #
