What you propose in all caps below is fine except it needs a signature, the Authorized Representative. There is also an Accepted for Value charge back endorsement which a little bit different than the regular one. Hope these work for you.

What verbiage seems to have worked for the majority in regard to Accepting for Value?I have seen Accept for Value, Exempt from Levy,Accept for Value, Returned with Value.......some with exemption numbers, signatures, dates, ssnumbers, back of the SS card numbers........Barton had some long ones......too. Short and sweet ...... is my goal but want to get the job done.... I have a stack of IRS presentments that I need to get out the door......pronto. Short and sweet, and not with too much info or verbiage either. I had a stamp made up last fall that folks claimed worked but I am not so sure now......:

ACCEPTED FOR VALUE, EXEMPT FROM LEVY __________________________________DATE EXEMPTION ID_______________ DEPOSIT TO THE US TREASURY AND CHARGE THE SAME TO_____________. Some folks say now that it is NON EXEMPT because the tax has not been settled or SUBJECT to LEVY. Just need some results already. thanks - Arizona area
