Passport to the World
Art 1 - Cecil
Name:
Every country has an official flag, emblem or seal that represent the nation with symbols, patterns, animals, colors, or other designs. Your country already has a flag and seal, but imagine you have been asked by the country (because you are a world famous artist) to redesign their flag and official seal. Use what you have in your sketchbook or the library books as reference material. Remember: -An emblem or seal should represent the country. -Should not be too detailed or over complicated -Think about representing a part of your country interesting to you -Should be simple enough to be redrawn or remade
Choose one (or more) of the designs above to use as a template for your emblem or seal or create your own. Draw it at least 4” wide below and complete your countries emblem design inside of it. It may be color or black and white, but will be photocopied later, so make it high contrast.

Flags of the World Consider: -What colors or patterns could represent your country -What you have learned that can be included in your design -How the principles of design can help in your design -How your design would be accepted by the people of that country
