Our customers give us a brief and we give them a merchandise solution that can help communicate, promote, relate, reward or even amuse.

There’s something very special about promotional merchandise. The act of giving and receiving is highly emotive; it makes you and the person you’re giving to feel good. That’s why we think promotional merchandise is such a valuable tool – what other marketing activity can stir such emotion? More to the point, what other activity puts your brand, quite literally in the hands of the people you want to engage with. That’s why creating the right product ideas is so important.

An estimated 2,000 companies in the UK alone can put a logo on a product but there aren’t many that put in the time and creative thought that Brand Addition do. Applying a logo and making sure it adheres to brand guidelines is of course important, and we do it well, but before that you need to choose the right product. We provide targeted merchandise that speaks to our customers’ audience. It’s their criteria that defines what we propose – they give us a brief and we’ll give them a merchandise solution that can help communicate, promote, relate, reward or even amuse. Merchandise can be powerfully evocative but it needs to be used intelligently and at Brand Addition we think we know how.

We employ over 700 staff through operations in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, North America and China.

Procurement The effective management and leveraging of our supply chain is vital to our success; after all, fundamentally our role is to source, buy and personalise products in the most cost effective way. Our buying team is committed to the continuous search for new concepts, styles and techniques from the most reliable and cost effective sources. Our UK & German buying teams are supported by our office in China which focuses on price, quality control and supplier compliance. With a Group spend in excess of £100 million per year we are confident that the industry supply chain works harder for us, and the advantages this brings are passed on. So what does that mean for our customers? Better value, faster lead-times and cutting edge ideas. We don’t cut corners though. We have a clear focus on ethical working practices and exercise industry-leading vendor controls enabling us to responsibly deliver excellent all round service; but not at the expense of others.

Global reach Over the last five years we have observed an increased desire on the part of our customers (both existing and potential) to source, supply and distribute promotional products on a global basis as they strive to leverage cost savings and gain consistency of brand identity. With operations in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France and North America, and partnerships with trusted regional suppliers, Brand Addition is ideally placed to effectively satisfy this need. Our experience of managing multi-region contracts has furnished us with invaluable knowledge and skills to manage this requirement.

Account management Maintaining consistent high standards of customer service relies on our ability to attract, develop, motivate and retain high calibre employees. At Brand Addition our Account Management teams are respected for their knowledge and experience of working with world-class brands. This expertise has evolved through many years of delivering exceptional service. In-house production and branding The Group’s in-house production site in Blackpool, co-ordinates the manufacture and branding of over 100 million products per annum. Many products are stocked or manufactured to order in the UK, and are available for immediate personalisation. Some can even be branded to order within three days providing us with the ability to offer competitive prices at short lead times. This capability really is a luxury that our clients can take advantage of. Not only do we control the process from start to finish (guaranteeing your delivery on time), it’s a ‘get out of jail card’ to help meet those unexpected requirements.

Our UK site is complemented by warehouse and fulfilment facilities in Germany and the US, bringing Europe and the Americas within easy reach. In all we ship to over 120 countries.

Stock management, fulfilment and logistics We stock over 10,000 pre-branded product lines in our dedicated 24,000m3 warehouse and fulfilment centre in Manchester. Orders are picked, packed and shipped around the world and we’re currently processing an average of 12,000 orders per month. Our UK site is complemented by warehouse and fulfilment facilities in Germany and the US, bringing Europe and the Americas within easy reach. In all we ship to over 120 countries.

Technology Brand Addition hosts over 50 fully transactional e-catalogues where our customers can search and order their products online with ease and efficiency. Our website architecture can be tailored to accurately reflect customers’ corporate identity, is highly secure and can be free-standing, intranet-linked or integrated with sophisticated customerowned procurement platforms such as ARIBA or SAP (punch-out).

As well as dispatching orders for products we provide, we can also co-pack with materials provided by our customers or other third parties.

We’re often asked to supply recycled goods, and we can. We have pledged our support to the UN Global Compact and have initiated a series of programmes that offer choice to our customers and improve the way we do business. We don’t expect to change the world with our actions, but we do hope to set an example that we’re proud of. We have commercial goals as all companies do, but we are mindful to be conscientious in our approach as a business and as individuals.

By meeting new and potential clients all the time I get a unique insight into how we’re perceived.
