Joseph A. Esposito is editor of The Newman Guide and director of research at the Cardinal Newman Society. He served in three presidential administrations, most recently as Deputy Under Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Education. He also was a working group chair for the Commission for Assistance to a Free Cuba. Esposito has been a full-time writer for Catholic publications and an adjunct professor of history. He has four graduate degrees and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Father Benedict J. Groeschel, C.F.R., is a much-loved author, preacher, and servant to the poor. He is perhaps best known as host of Sunday Night Live on EWTN. Father Groeschel also is director for the Office for Spiritual Development and founder and director of Trinity Retreat for the Archdiocese of New York, and cofounder of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. He earned his doctorate in psychology from Columbia University, is a professor at St. Joseph’s Seminary and the author of many books.

His Excellency Most Rev. Elden F. Curtiss has been Archbishop of Omaha since 1993. Previously, he served 17 years as Bishop of Helena, Montana. He also was superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Baker, Oregon, and president-rector of Mount Angel Seminary in Saint Benedict, Oregon. Archbishop Curtiss studied at St. Edward Seminary College and St. Edward Seminary and has graduate degrees in divinity and educational administration. He will celebrate his golden jubilee as a priest in 2008.

Patrick J. Reilly is founder and president of the Cardinal Newman Society and a senior fellow at the Capital Research Center. Reilly has commented and written extensively, including co-editing Newman’s Idea of a University: The American Response. He previously served as executive director of Citizens for Educational Freedom and worked at the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Department of Education. He is a Fordham University alumnus and received a graduate degree from The American University.

Father C. John McCloskey III, a priest of the Prelature of Opus Dei, is a research fellow at the Faith and Reason Institute. He served 13 years as a chaplain for Princeton University students and five years as director of the Catholic Information Center in Washington, D.C. He has hosted several EWTN series. In 2007 he co-authored Good News, Bad News: Evangelization, Conversion, and the Crisis of Faith. He is a Columbia University alumnus and holds a doctorate in sacred theology.

Peter Kreeft has been professor of philosophy at Boston College since 1965. He previously taught at Villanova University and has been a visiting professor at many colleges and seminaries. A Catholic apologist who converted from Calvinism, Kreeft has written more than 50 books on philosophy, theology and apologetics. He received his doctorate from Fordham University and is the recipient of many honors.

Eileen Cubanski co-founded and serves as executive director of the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools, a national accrediting agency and teacher certification program for private Catholic and independent schools. She also founded St. Maria Goretti Academy, in Loomis, California, in 1993. She has an undergraduate degree in child study and elementary education and a master’s degree in education administration.
