Congregational Pastor Calling Qualification: Personal 1. 2. 3. 4. I.

Calling from God and desire to serve Evangelical vision and passion Godly characters (vigilant, just, holy, sober, temperate, orderliness, patient, kindness, prudent, and diligent) Preferably married and a role model for family harmony

Ministry 1. Must possess a Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent and able to communicate the whole Word of God in accordance with sound principles of Biblical interpretation 2. Must be proficient/fluent in written/spoken Chinese/Mandarin and English and must deliver sermon in Mandarin.. 3. At least five years ministry experience in U.S. (preferably in a multigenerational and multilingual church) 4. Having burden and experience in participating in evangelism to Chinese people (especially immigrants from Mainland China) 5. Good spiritual teacher and leader 6. Able to provide support and growth for Christian Education to all ages 7. Able to coordinate and lead fellowship with other congregations or other churches 8. Demonstrated competencies in Team Building, Leadership, Training and Cultivate Growth of Believers, Problem Solving and Handling Interpersonal Conflict 9. Have a projected outlook for church ministries and programs 10. Must be able to obtain C&MA Congregational Pastor license (please refer to “Manual of The Christian and Missionary Alliance” at http://www.cmalliance.org/resources/publications)
