The Greeks (Plato) taught that the soul was indestructible – that all live forever. The Bible teaches otherwise. Not everyone is or will become immortal. Only God is immortal and immortality is His gift to believers only. The unsaved will be destroyed at the end of the age. Only the saved live forever and never perish.
