Community-Based Organization Complete Count Committee Meeting The 2010 Census is on the horizon and now is the time to start planning for a complete count. A thorough census count will translate into real dollars for our region. It directly impacts our ability to attract new business, access valuable grants, and promote Southeast Louisiana’s future. You have been recognized as a person of influence and credibility in our community and I would be honored if you would join me and the Complete Count Committee at the 2010 Census Complete Count Workshop on Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009. At the Complete Count Workshop, representatives from community organizations throughout Southeast Louisiana will brainstorm ways to promote the 2010 Census. Together, we will utilize the local knowledge, expertise and influence to design and implement a census awareness campaign targeted specifically to the Southeast Louisiana area. Our goal is to increase the mail-back response rate through a focused, structured, neighbor-to-neighbor program. Please make plans to attend the Complete Count Workshop: Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009 9:00 am – 10:30 am Safe Haven Building 700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Hammond, Louisiana 70401 I look forward to seeing you at the workshop and working alongside you to ensure that everyone counts. Should you have any questions about the Complete Count Workshop or the 2010 Census, please contact Muriel Laws at 225-456-7095, [email protected] or Tom Raymond at 985-312-3259, [email protected]. Sincerely, Muriel Laws Partnership Specialist U.S. Census Bureau Department of Commerce
