The PM must now meet up with the Pakatan representatives to find a common ground over the present Perak political impasse. A meeting in which both sides could thrash a sensible way out of the crisis which has turned the state into a laughing stock. A solution has to be found for the sake of the common good of the people of Perak who were victims of a political hijacking carried out by the Perak BN. The federal authorities must not repeat the mistakes made by the previous administration. That administration was really fatally flawed in believing it could do no wrong while the opposition was deserving of nothing but total rejection & so it was duly treated very shabbily and with total disdain not only by the government but also by the pro-government media. That administration was given a rude shock by the public in March 2008. And the leader was deservingly forced to retire from the seat of power as a result. The seizure of the Perak Legislative Assembly by the BN was unethical, immoral and totally unsupportable given that it was never sanctioned by the people of Perak and also by the fact that two of the 'pro-BN independents' could soon face the prospect of loosing their seats in the near future due to immoral and corrupt conduct. Therefore it is most imperative that the government and the Pakatan hold a close-door meeting to try resolve the deadlock. The government must not encourage the repeat of the mistakes made by the previous administration. It encouraged the media to slam and denounce the opposition and propagate the idea that the Pakatan was totally worthless of any consideration. The tv stations, especially TV3, went overtime to dole out verbal damage against the Pakatan politicians but to no avail. The Pakatan went on to accomplish their historic 'tsunami'. Today, the tv stations still have learnt nothing of their past errors. TV3 and TV1 tried to utilise the very same kind of shit in their recent sports coverage. The Sudirman sports tournament was reported against the background of the A(H1N1) story. The two stations tried to convey their story in a sensationalistic manner implying that the national team was concerned about the safety aspects of the meet and that it could be cancelled or called off or the national team might decide not to go. TV3 actually did it for several days right up to Thur 7 May. The result was a totally deserved 2-3 defeat of the national team by S.Korea. There were several other sports tournaments being held at the same time, but these were not mentioned in the same breath as the flu virus story. It only indicates that the Malaysian media cannot be trusted to report truthfully or act in a professional regard. The result of many years of bad indoctrination by the BN.( We should stop encouraging our youths taking up badminton. Learning wushu or karate would be better as the crime situation is now spiralling out of control). The government must not follow the example of TV3.
The government must wake up to the true situation and bravely face the current realities present today. Don't ape the likes of TV3. Avoid distorting the truth as so very favoured by TV3. The government must be honest in its intentions when dealing with the country and therefore it should meet and hold talks with the Pakatan. The Pakatan is here to stay & can no longer be regarded as unimportant or irrelevant to the nation. The government should also pay closer attention to the crime situation now. The lives of crime victims seem to have very little worth in the eyes of criminals here nowadays. So many innocent ones have died from senseless acts committed here and there, in the streets, in the bushes, all up and down, across the land. By endless streams of hardcore criminals. It is now time for a brave government to stand up and say : 'The buck stops here'. (We are keeping our fingers crossed).
