EW-Plant at Damietta governorate it’s about 270km far from Cairo and about 15km from New Damietta city, EW-Plant consist of two phases (Phase II and Phase III). WASCO intends to revamp the control system of its central processing facilities at EW-plant. This is mainly due to most system components were obsolete and malfunction of redundant system.

The two points will be cancelled.

For PHIII: Spare channels will be provided are aprox. 70 AI points and 32 DI points without 24vDC. So, it is an issue to negotiate for final decision as the above spare points will be sufficient or not. For Point 3: Noted For Point 4: This period doesn't determine up till now. So, i can't

Contractor shall propose as an optional any other alternative solution that will implement the same SOW under Allen Bradley umbrella if it we applicable in our case. please be advise that no need for new panel as the FF and F&G new system shall include anew stand-alone panel and accordingly all the old F&G system shall be transferred from old panel which mean that it will grantee the needed spar for old panel. please note that the maximum S/D period will be tree days.

From our point of view, I suggest the following: 1- May be we should combine the PLC to become one PLC ( using one processor L 74( 16MB)) or L 75 (32MB) instead of two PLCs (Phase II and Phase III). 2- For communication we can use ENT2R instead of control net. 3- Also please noting the following: a- All I/Os racks are still in the same place at phase II and phase III. b- The existing system consists of two PLCs (one for phase II and the other for phase III, but actually we can’t operate phase II without phase III or vice Versa.

In case we apply the aforementioned suggestions this will allow us to save one control panel which include two PLCs system with redundancy system with all components. If all instrumentation Engineers agree we can hopefully go through with the new suggestions.

Redundancy problem: 1- The Secondary module is disqualified with the primary at PH III due to lower processor memory (Application oversize)

For Point 1:please be informed that the new processor will be L74 as attached BOM and combination for one PLC don't applicable for the below reasons: 1-This modification will reduce system availability.(as now system will be depend only on one processor) 2- I can't shutdown PHII only. 3-This modification also will take long time to laying new cables, and will perform commissioning again. 4-Almost used signals at PHII are 220V but at PHIII is 24V. For point 2: This point is already considered. For Point 3 (a): No change at I/O list. For Point 3 (b): what is the purpose of this point. Please clarify?

For point 1:Not applicable. For point 2: Already considered. For Point 3(a):will be cancelled. For point 3(b):will be cancelled.

Up till now, there isn't clear reason or evidence for that problem. So, as the system will be replaced, no benefit for list any reason.
