The Growing Project Pumpkin Sale - this year was another success! Every pumpkin on the wagon sold and people learned about the good works of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank. A total of $700 was raised and the government will match that donation. Vow of Silence –Today, November 22nd, I, Matthew Suderman am beginning a “vow of silence.” It is the 20th Anniversary of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, but millions of children around the world are still left voiceless. So, I will be joining children from around the world who will not speak out loud, do e-mail, facebook, or text message for 24 hours. All funds of the “Vow of Silence will go toward the Free the Children Foundation in their clean water program. If you would like to sponsor me or join me in silence, please see me after church. For more information visit www.freethechildren.com Free the Children is the world’s largest network of children helping children through education, with more than one million youth involved in programs in 45 countries.

Introduction to Eternity Sunday

O Lord, the giver of all life, we thank you for life; We thank you for the lives of others we have known. For the joys and sorrows shared. We accept, Lord, that you have taken what you once gave. Please bring your gentle healing to the hurt that comes with parting. Thank you, Lord Jesus, that you care about us. Amen.

Words of Assurance

Leader: O Thou full of compassion, I commit and commend myself unto Thee, in whom I am, and live, and know. Be Thou the Goal of my pilgrimage, and my Rest by the way. Let my soul take refuge from the crowding turmoil of worldly thoughts beneath the shadows of Thy wings; let my heart, this sea of restless waves, find peace in Thee, O God. –St. Augustine
