The CD: •
Key button to use is tracking charts
• •
Use the drop down menu to use Yr. group etc Follow the screens through (you will have to use the back button to access the resources)
To consider: -
Discuss how it is actually going to be used and resources in the school
2. Planning using the Renewed Framework -
Print out the Block front sheet (the one with the objectives on)
-
The key objectives are the most important and really need to be focussed on. Then you need to think, what objectives am I really going to crack by the end of the unit.
When planning a unit: 1. Read the overview as it specifies what the children should be able to do by the end of the unit (it gives the bigger picture) You find the overview at the bottom of each unit 2. Follow this teaching sequence roughly: review, teach, consolidate, apply, review/ evaluate 3. Now think about what is it that the children really need to learn by the end of the unit and write it in a box on planning sheet. (Prioritise the main 2 and three objectives) 4. Now think about how they are going to develop over the two or three weeks – map out the objectives over the time 5. Only plan out a few days in detail
Date of the next meeting: 31st March 2008 @ Corsham Regis
