Coco Chanel started her business as selling ladies' hats in 1910 when she was 27 years old. And within a year, she was named on Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people of the 20th century.

The influential Chanel suit, launched in 1923, was an elegant suit comprising a kneelength skirt and trim, boxy jacket, traditionally made of woven wool with black trim and gold buttons and worn with large costume-pearl necklaces.

Coco Chanel also popularized the Little Black Dress, whose versatility allowed it to be worn for day and evening, depending on how it was accessorized.

A little black dress is a short, unfussy evening or cocktail dress, popularized in the1920s by the fashion designer Coco Chanel with her "Ford" dress, as Vogue later called it. Like the Henry Ford’s cars, it was an instant craze, widely available and it came in only one color, black. Chanel's dress was designed to not show stains and to fit every woman. Coco believed that fashion should be functional.

The "little black dress" is considered by many women to be an essential part of a complete wardrobe. Eve n S ex a the n a ll u r e o d t he Ci f th e si ty coul mple d no t di s c ou nt

It is a well-known "rule of fashion" that every woman should own a simple, elegant black dress that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Quote

⊙ Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman. ⊙ In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. ⊙The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you. ⊙Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury. ⊙ Elegance does not consist in putting on a new dress. ⊙ Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty. ⊙ A woman has the age she deserves.

Coco Chanel introduced the Little Black Dress in 1926, and has been perennially classic throughout the world. Her famous “simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance “ has been proved beyond doubt! This year is the LBD’s 80th anniversary, let’s pay reverence to this pioneering French designer.
