CLOSING SPEECH – Kane
A blessed afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Before we end this ceremony tonight, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone – the Administration of the school headed by Mrs. Teresita Serrano, all our branch heads, teachers, students and most especially our dear parents. It is a great honor that I am standing here in front of you. My fellow students, congratulations to all of us! Thank you for being with me in this journey- for sharing your time, skills and friendship. Thank you our dear teachers for never stop sharing your knowledge and wisdom to us. Thank you to the staff of our school facilities for ensuring that we have a conducive place to study. Lastly, thank you our parents for your enduring love and care. This is all for you. Our parents started us out in this journey- all the efforts, trials and misfortunes, those days and sleepless nights that we have to study for our exam, the everyday “baon”, the classroom experiences, all of it.. it comes all together here tonight as we gather and look forward to the awarding of medals, certificates and diplomas. But my fellow students, our journey will not end here. This graduation is just another gate for our new beginning-another door for us with lots of opportunities, challenges and pursuits. Tomorrow is a new day for us. Whatever mistakes we’ve done in the past, this is the time to move on and start again. Remember that challenges are not an exception to being successful. We have to embrace the unexpected, just what I always remind myself – “Forget the risk, take the fall. If it’s what you want, then it’s worth it at all”. I want you to leave here confident knowing that you are smart, don’t let others let you think otherwise. I believe that all of us have potentials in making a positive difference in this world and I want you to believe the same. That’s what leaders do- they step up and make big plays. So let’s step up to the challenge, believe in yourself and do what it takes. Look at the person beside you and tell that person “kaya natin to!”. Right now is a great time to start and be a good person along the way. Let’s make our teacher and parents more proud of us because nothing is impossible if you believe. Again, this is Ardy Kane Aldrian S. Cabas. Cheers to us graduates.
