CONTENT Focus : READING Theme : World Of KNOWLEDGE Unit 3 : WHERE AM I? Topic : SAY THE SOUNDS AND WORDS C/S : 2.1 L/S : 2.1.1 , 2.1.2 & 2.1.3 Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to: a) Recognize and articulate the sound (oa). b) Blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud. Activities: 1. Teacher shows the sound pictures to pupils. 2. Teacher asks pupils to articulate the sounds in the word cards shown. 3. Teacher plays ‘match’ together with pupils in the group and asks pupils to match the oa words with their pictures. Teacher drills pupils with the sounds. 4. Teacher gives an exercise in the activity book as homework. (page 15) Teaching Aids/ Reference : Textbook, pictures , activity book, Teaching and learning strategies : Constructivism Added Value : Friendship Assessment:- Observe pupils can articulate the sounds.
