CITY ORDINANCE NO. 78

AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING STUDENTS IN COLLEGE (UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM) BOTH IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL TO PLANT TREES AS ONE OF THEIR REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panglungsod of Baguio City, Benguet that:

SECTION 1.

It is hereby required that graduating students in College both in Public and Private school to plant two (2) trees for each graduating student as one of the requirements for graduation.

SECTION 2.

The graduating students shall plant two (2) trees in their own yards, in public places, along the roads or reforestation areas.

SECTION 3.

The graduating students shall ask for a City Certification that the students planted trees after ocular inspection made by City Officials.

SECTION 4.

Involvement from Tree Planting Projects intended by the Local Government shall be counted.

SECTION 5.

The Department of Education(DepEd) and the City Officials shall enjoin in the implimentation of this ordinance.

SECTION 6.

This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
