ABOUT CROYDON A city in all but name, Croydon is the UK’s 6th largest commercial centre, and would be the UK’s 7th largest city if it were not a London borough, of which it is the largest. It is home to several Government offices, and more than 20 “blue chip” companies are based there. Croydon is currently experiencing one of the most dynamic regeneration and growth periods ever seen in the UK. A massive £3.5 billion has been committed for projects throughout the borough, and the town centre will be transformed with new squares, piazza’s, and green public spaces. The town already has renowned shopping at West End standards with the Whitgift Shopping Centre, one of the biggest in Europe, Central, and Park Place. The concrete environs around East Croydon station have been demolished with plans for a Norman Foster designed skyscraper, a new public park, theatre, sports facilities, cafes and bars. Considered to be one of London’s future property hotspots Croydon is currently still affordable and, with the excellent local employment opportunities and easy commuting into central London, property here is primed for excellent capital growth as the regeneration progresses.

West Croydon station and the town centre are about 10-15 minutes walk from City House, and several bus routes run along London Road.
