Executive Board Meeting Notes: August 18, 2009

Membership Plan: Bob presented the CEA Campaign Checklist. Discussed sending CEA members to sites, using release time, in order to build membership during lunch, specifically on campuses where we are lacking a site representative. Realistic goal with membership enrollment: To get our membership over 50% of the teachers employed by CUSD (Roughly 180 teachers needed to add). Deliver and discuss the contents of CEA AR handbook electronically. We also discussed the possibility of flash drive for site reps that will contain CEA information. Things will be available on the website as well. We reviewed the draft of the CEA growth plan. Executive board needs to give Bob feedback over the next few days… Rose suggested making our presence known at the Mega Mentors night. We will need to send AEA a weekly notice letting them know what we are doing in order to build membership. Next AR meeting September 8th : Slideshow will be playing 4:15-4:30 25 min. Framework for being a site representative: How to build membership. Q and A to follow. 2 min. Wendy: mini-grants 2 min. Dawn: ASU booth for potential members 5 min. Cecilia: save the date 25 min.
