    

There will be 2 participants per team and they will be handed all three companies case study. They are given 40 minutes to analyse, ideate and formulate a future business plan for one or more of the sponsor companies. ( it is on the participants to choose whom, and how many sponsors they want to pitch to). At the end of 40 minutes, teams will be allowed to pitch their future business plans to the sponsors for five minutes at a time by waiting in a queue for their turn. If they require more time they can join the queue again and wait for their turn. Both the participants must pitch together and can only stand in the queue of one sponsor at a time. Teams get 5 minutes at a time to pitch their business plan to the sponsors. This pitch has to follow the pattern of an elevator pitch. Once their 5 minutes are up, teams can choose to re-join the same queue and continue and add on to their pitch or move to another sponsor and wait for their turn to pitch. A team cannot pitch more than 3 times to a particular sponsor. Total pitching time is 1 hour.

After the 1 hour of pitching is over, the sponsors will grade each business plan and each sponsor gets to pick two best pitches, that will go forward in the next round. Two sponsors may also pick the same team.

Round 2 Objective – Effectively deal with future contingencies/problems. 

Based on the future business plans pitched by the teams, the sponsors will individually ask questions/put forward hypothetical situations that the teams must have competent answers for. Each team will be asked questions one by one by the sponsor who has selected them and they will have no preparation time. After the answers have been given, the sponsors will grade each team and each take the 1 best graded team into the final round. Again two sponsors may pick the same team twice.

Round 3 Objective – Make a power point presentation on the marketing strategies of the company and present it. 

Each team will get 30 mins to make a power point presentation on the marketing strategies (social media, newspaper/television, SEM, incentives/commissions, offers/coupons etc.)of the company. Each team will come and present for 10 minutes and each of the presentations will be graded. Each team is required to carry their own laptop for this particular round.

Overall winner will be selected on the basis of most points ( total of all three rounds).
