Cocoa operation in Cochin HOW CADBURYCHOCOLATE IS MADE? The main ingredient of a chocolate is cocoa – the heart of the sweetest delicacy in the world – is bitter! Amazing! Practically all varieties of cocoa is classified under two categories 1. Criollo – found mainly in its native Equador & Venezuela. It accounts mainly for
10% of the world crop. It is of fine quality & is used in high quality chocolate. 2. Forastero – main growing area is West South Africa. Accounts for 90% of the world
crop. The process of chocolate includes 13 steps before final packing.
PERCEPTION CHANGE Initially I had no idea about the process & with rumours about its quality I rarely purchase it but after knowing all the process of how Cadbury makes the chocolate, my attitude towards it has changed and now I am assure of its quality.
FERRERO ROCHER Ferrero SpA is an Italian manufacturer of chocolate and other confectionery products, founded by confectioner Pietro Ferrero in 1946 and based in Pino Torinese(TO), Italy. The company is still owned by the Ferrero family. In India, Ferrero Rocher has been distributed by various importers, who brought the chocolates from Singapore and Malaysia. After seeing sales grow with no marketing efforts, the company set up a marketing office in Bangalore four years ago and has a staff of six. Ferrero has already incorporated a new company called Imsofer Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ferrero International. It is registered in Delhi and Haryana. CONSTITUENTS OF FERRERO ROCHER CHOCOLATE Ferrero Rocher are spherical chocolate sweets made by Ferrero SpA. The sweets consist of a whole roasted hazelnut encased in a thin wafer shell filled with nutella/hazelnut cream
and covered in milk chocolate and chopped hazelnuts. The sweets contain approximately 304 kJ of energy, and are individually packaged inside a gold-coloured wrapper. PERCEPTION CHANGE It is the world’s no. 1 chocolate since very long. The chocolate is of high quality & has maintained its standard since long. By knowing more about it, my liking towards it has further increased.
PEPE JEANS Established in 1973 as weekend road side stall by three brothers Nitin Shah, Arun Shah and Milan Shah. Their shop was located at Portobello Road Market, West London. They started their company as Sholemay Ltd trading as Pepe Jeans . Shah brothers were from Kenya. Shantilal Parmar company manufactured jeans for the three brothers which they sold on the stalls and to other retailers whom they knew. Pepe Jeans were launched in India in 1989 and has expanded immensely since then. PERCEPTION CHANGE Pepe has been in India for almost 2 decades. It has been one of my favourite brands in casual wears. I have never compromised on the quality of my cloths & nor PEPE has done in its manufacturing. My perception regarding it has never changed so far.
DOVE Dove is a personal care brand (including hair care products) owned by Unilever. Dove soap was launched in the US in 1955. Dove was positioned - then and now - as a "beauty bar" with one-fourth cleansing cream that moisturizes skin while washing as opposed to the drying effect of regular soap. Dove soap bar, launched in India in the early 1990s, has since been extended to body washes and skincare products. Currently, Dove’s hair care products are available in India only through third party imports. Unilever plans to discontinue this route, and market the new Dove shampoos and conditioners through the home and personal care (HPC) division of HLL. Dove is primarily made from synthetic surfactants, as well as some vegetable oil based soap ingredients, such as sodium palm kernelate. Dove is formulated to be pH neutral, with a pH that is usually between 6.5 and 7.5. PERCEPTION CHANGE Dove is a moisturizer cream based soap & it gives fairly good results than other soaps. I have been using it since long. This brand has never let my faith turn down. Thus my perception regarding it has not changed .
CLASSMATE NOTE BOOKS It is a product of ITC ltd. ITC made its entry into the stationery business in 2002 with its premium range of notebooks, followed in the year 2003 with the more popular range to augment its offering.
It is the manufacturer of India's first environment friendly Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) pulp, paper and paperboard. ITC's stationery Brands are marketed as "Classmate" and "Paperkraft", with Classmate addressing the needs of school goers and Paperkraft targeted towards college students and executives In recognition of its quality products & processes, the business has been awarded with ISO 9001:2000 by Det Norske Veritas. PERCEPTION CHANGE ITC uses environment friendly paper for making note books. It understands its responsibility towards the environment & the society very well. By knowing this & using its products I am assure of its quality & look forward to use its notebooks further.
MOTHER DAIRY ICE CREAM Mother dairy – Delhi was setup in 1974 under the Operation Flood Programme. It is now a wholly owned company of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). It has 2 brands in the ice cream i.e. CHILLZ & MOTHER DAIRY ICE CREAMS. It manufactures its ice creams in a factory in NOIDA. At Mother Dairy, processing of milk is controlled by process automation whereby state-ofthe-art microprocessor technology is adopted to integrate and completely automate all functions of the milk processing areas to ensure high product quality/ reliability and safety. Mother Dairy is an IS/ ISO-9002, IS-15000 HACCP and IS-14001 EMS certified organization. Moreover, its Quality Assurance Laboratory is certified by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratory (NABL)-Department of Science and Technology, Government of India PERCEPTION CHANGE I am a diehard fan of Mother Dairy Ice Creams. I have never seen a fall in its quality, so far. My liking towards it has never gone down.
NOKIA Nokia Corporation is a Finnish multinational communications corporation, headquartered in Keilaniemi, Espoo, a city neighboring Finland's capital Helsinki. It was formed in 1865. Nokia started its India operations in 1995, and presently operates out of offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. The Indian operations comprise of the handsets business; R&D facilities in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai; a manufacturing plant in Chennai and a Design Studio in Bangalore. Nokia manufactures its low end range in its plant in Chennai & imports the high end versions from china through an importer in Mahipalpur, Delhi. PERCEPTION CHANGE I have used Nokia cell phone and never had any problem regarding its functioning. In fact I believe it is a rough & tough mobile and last for long. Though Nokia cell phones are manufactured in China but it has always met its standards of quality. I suppose my perception towards it has never changed.
GOOGLE Google Inc. is an American public corporation, earning revenue from advertising related to its Internet search, e-mail, online mapping, office productivity, social networking, and video sharing services as well as selling advertising-free versions of the same technologies. The Google headquarters, the Googleplex, is located in Mountain View, California. Google was co-founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Stanford University and the company was first incorporated as a privately held company on 4 September 1998. I has searched every queries of mine in less than a second. It has been consistent in its performance & has grown tremendously. My need to use Google has increased over a period of time.
DELHI METRO The Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS), or Delhi Metro, is a rapid transit system in the Indian National Capital Territory of Delhi operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited. The MRTS was built and is operated by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC). The Delhi Metro was opened on December 24, 2002. It became the second underground rapid transit system in India, after the one in operation in Kolkata. Unlike the Kolkata Metro, the Delhi Metro has a combination of elevated, at-grade and underground lines. Trains operating within the network typically travel at speeds below 80 km/h, or 50 mph, and stop about 20 seconds at each MRTS station. Actual work towards building the metro, however, only started in March 5, 1995, when the DMRC was established. PERCEPTION CHANGE DMRC caters to the needs of commuters. It provides flexibility in its fare collection system & in all its system. It saves commuters time & cost & ensures a fast & safe journey to all. I look forward to it for its expansion so that its services can be availed by many of us.

Its quality of service is tremendous. During the whole process of knowing the company I came across that it is an Indian brand which I did not know earlier. My perception towards it has changed & respect towards it has increased further.
