SUBJECT LINE: Coaching 4 Change Spends Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6-10) Planning Annual Gala and Teacher Award Recipients Dear News Editor, Coaching 4 Change will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10, planning for its 3rd Annual Civic Engagement Gala and choosing which educators to honor at the event with the Lifetime Coaching Award. The award is given to two remarkable educators that bring dedication and innovation to the field to inspire students. C4C recognizes the important role teachers play in the growth and success of their students and aims to honor those who do outstanding work year-round. C4C is a local organization that recruits high school and college students as mentors for struggling middle schoolers using both team activities and project-based learning. The gala, which will be held this September at Stonehill College in Easton, is the organization’s largest source of income to support its services and its platform to honor the educators, mentors, students, and sponsors who make C4C possible. Along with the ceremony honoring the two 2019 Lifetime Coaching Award recipients, the evening includes a black-tie optional dinner and a live auction featuring tickets to New England sports events, big-name concerts, and lavish vacation packages – all valued at thousands of dollars each.
