Club members are reminded to tell all our friends and associates how much fun our new club is, in order to insure this great hobby’s spread. MEETING****************************************************************

The Next meeting will be held July 25 1:30 pm-3: 00 PM, at the beautiful Library of the Ryerss Museum, 7370 Central Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although most of our members avail themselves of vehicular access to the meetings, it is also easy to access by public Transportation ( Septa) Bus Route 24, 70, 77 and R8 train at “Ryers” station in inclement weather. Favorite Stamp column!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In June, Al Weinstein(Club Member) gave us a presentation on the joys of collecting cinderellas which are poster stamps not good for postage, but are used to decorate postcards and covers (envelopes). This excellent lecture was accompanied by a slideshow, which presented parts of Al’s collection. Stuart (president) gave an accompanying lecture on vintage Zeppelin cinderellas.

Postal stamps are stamps that are good for postage with added values in which some of the money paid for the stamps go to charity, like war relief funds, the Red Cross, breast cancer research, etc. Rick Erat (visiting dealer from Syracuse) will lecture on how to become a stamp dealer. After wards Stuart and Jackie are going to conduct a mini-seminar for new collectors and junior members, showing how to measure perforations and examine watermarks in stamps. All advance members need to help out!!!!!!

August 30, 2008 was the beginning of our beautiful Club. We will be celebrating this event by mailing a cachet and cinderella to all attending members of more that one meeting, this will be on your mailing envelope for August newsletter, there will be extras to buy at our Stamp Show on the Ryerss Porch on September 12, 2009, which will help to offset printing costs!!!!!!!! All members are highly recommended to come to July meeting so you can get your one-year anniversary Cachet and Cinderella mailed to you on August 30, 2009. Miss this meeting! I dare You!
