Lord, in your mercy Hear our prayer. Give us all a reverence for the earth as your own creation, that we may use its resources rightly in the service of others and to your honor and glory. The Confession of Sin And now, O Father, we pray to you also for our greatest need, the forgiveness of our sins: Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father; in your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things done and left undone; and so uphold us by your Spirit that we may live and serve you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Announcements Wednesday Evenings at Good Shepherd Beginning this Wednesday, November 3rd from 6:15-7:30, we will gather weekly for a time of intentional Christian growth. Make plans now to bring a friend to the first four-week session led by Pastor Kyle entitled “Stress-Free Living: How’s It Working For You?” To accompany this adult course, Miss Jessica and her team will offer a host of exciting opportunities for children through 5th grade. Details to follow. A Day Together Ladies of COTGS are invited to participate in a day retreat this Saturday, November 7th, from 9:45 to 2:30 at 262 South Street (across from IB School). Please park in the Davidson UMC parking lot. The deadline for reservations is today. Please contact Lesley Lee (704-663--6198 or [email protected]). November CAT (Children's (Children's Activity Time) This month’s focus is “living a life of service.” Next Sunday – November 8th, children and their families, along with our youth, will work together raking leaves for people in our community. We will meet at Calvary at 2:30 then caravan to our first house from there. Please plan to join in the fun as we serve on this project together. Operation Christmas Child – Share the Love of Christ by Packing a Shoebox Our children will be collecting packed shoe boxes and needed items for Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child. For more information, please pick up a brochure from the children's ministry table outside the ark or visit the website (www.samaritanspurse.org).
