VALUE DRIVEN AUTONOMY The values that drive the autonomous system are need-based curriculum, knowledge-expansion, industrial-exposure training and Capstone evaluation model. Through these value-based educational systems, the college strives to achieve peer-to-peer standards. In the transition stage, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is moving towards an Activity-Based Learning System.

LEARNING ARCHITECTURE The Learning Model Architecture of Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is “Vision to Wisdom Approach”. The programmes are designed based on a multifaceted, prolonged approach to cater to the mission of the students joining Sri Krishna Arts and Science College. The curriculum design is at par with the UGC standards for Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The teaching, learning and evaluating systems have been inter-linked with the Capstone education model. The selection of course is done by the students on “Calling Card” basis. Students can select the desired course and faculty based on the learning-pathway experience. It ensures Flexible Choice Based Credit System. The coherence in the course has been fixed based on the course outcomes. The teaching method differs according to the outcomes of the course. The teaching area will be divided into four “Caps”. Each “Cap” has its own objective and is designed to meet the individual learning style and talents of the students concerned. The capstone process is beneficial in terms of providing opportunities for more thoughtful student reflection. It enables the students to make sense of the programme in a systematic way and encourages students to apply skills and theories. Smart teaching is introduced with the aid of smart books and interactive boards. Smart books and digital version of textbooks are tailored for different student learning styles. It can be accessed online through a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. All our classrooms are equipped with interactive boards and LCD projectors for an interactive learning. Interactive board is a powerful tool that creates a wide range of learning opportunities by adding interactivity and collaboration, allowing the mixing of media content into the lecture and supporting collaborative learning. The College also offers Spoken Tutorial, an initiative of National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. of India with the tie up of IIT – Mumbai.

24X7 E/M LEARNING The College has enabled e-learning and m-learning facilities for students. It is a unique feature introduced for the first time in an Arts and Science College. E-Learning applications and processes include web-based learning, virtual classroom and digital collaboration. Students can log on to virtual classroom (Myklassroom.com) and learn their subjects 24/7.
