-LIFESPAN: the period of time during which a human being, animal, machine, etc, may be expected to live or function under normal conditions. -MYTH: a traditional story, esp. one that involves gods and heroes and explains a practice or some natural object or phenomenon. -vigorous: very forceful or energetic. -utterly: completely or extremely. -presumptuous: A person who is presumptuous shows little respect for others by doing things they have no right to do. -cliff: a high area of rock with a very steep side, often on a coast. -disparate: different in every way. -retirement: the act of retiring from a job or career. -stagnate: to stay the same and not grow or develop. -society: large group of people who live together in an organized way, making decisions about how to do things and sharing the work that needs to be done. All the people in a country, or in several similar countries, can be referred to as a society. -fond: to like someone or something very much; to like doing something.
