Board of Directors Responsibilities
1. Attend all board meetings & functions 1.1.
Prepare for each meeting by reviewing materials

Provide candid and constructive comments
2. Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the strategic plan 3. Promote the BIAAZ mission, programs and services 4. Ensure programs & services adequately address participant needs 4.1. Develop awareness of state and national trends and medical innovations that impact the quality of life of survivors 5. Agree to participate on a committee, task force, or special assignment at least once during a board term 6. Invest in the professional development of the Board of Directors 6.1. Foster a commitment to enhance personal knowledge of board responsibilities 6.2.
Participate in trainings, retreats and workshops
6.3.
Share expertise
7. Make a personal financial contribution to the BIAAZ at least annually 8. Become a member of BIAAZ 9. Recommend possible nominees for the Board of Directors 10. Develop knowledge of board financial, legal and public responsibilities 10.1.
Follow conflict of interest policy
10.2.
Assist BOD in carrying out fiduciary responsibilities
10.3.
Ensure adequate funds are raised
