Photosynthesis Bracelets - Leaf - Water - Carbon Dioxide - Sunlight - Change (Clear) - Glucose (Sugar) - Oxygen - Begin your bracelet with the green bead. This bead represents the leaf, where photosynthesis occurs. - Next comes the blue, which represents the water that is taken in by the roots and transported to the leaf through the stem. - Black is the next bead to go on. This represents the carbon dioxide absorbed through the lead. Although this is a clear gas, a black bead is used because carbon dioxide is a waste product of respiration. - Yellow represents the light energy that causes change. - The clear bead is actually a UV bead which will change when placed in sunlight, just as the water and carbon dioxide will change due to the light. - The pink bead comes next and represents glucose (sugar). It is pink like the frosting on a cupcake which is all sugar. - The final bead is white. This represents oxygen.
