NINTH GRADE OFFICERS: Paul Hartle, President; AI
Leitherland, Vice President; Nancy Roark, SecretaryTte asuret,
It is inevitable that the Freshmen are f aced with the awkward situation of being the underdogs and subjected to the skepticism of the underclassmen and the mock display of the teachers. They find thrust uponthem aII the demands of high school life and the maturity expected of the older students but without the corresponding experience. It is, however an exciting part of their lives, stretching before thern are their rnost decisive years. It is, also, to say the least, an inspiring period and it is not surprising that this year's Freshmen have displayed both the academic and social qualities that will make their future vears successful and orofitable ones.

Eighth Graders Enter
EIGHTH GRADE OFFICERS: Andy Schimanoff, President; Kathy Clement, Vice President; Robin Smith, Treasurer; Joe Skoczylas, Secretary.
Emerging from the comparatively cloistered atmosphere of the elementary school and entering the complicated and demanding life of the high school student, the Eighth graders have had to adapt to a while new educational experience. Graduating from a school in which they were upperclassmen, they are now forced into obscurity. They may have had to f ace the frightening prospect of being trampled by overwhelming seniors or harassed by vengeful Freshmen, but there are compensations. Before them opens the wonderful advantages of high school life -- the many extracturicular activities, the invitations to dances and the challenees of their new academic schedules,
