Once in a Blue Moon. The saying refers to things so rare they almost never happen. The only blue moon of 2009 will happen on New Year’s Eve – December 31 and we believe this is a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to celebrate! We are writing to invite you to join the Honorary Committee for the Blue Moon Gala to benefit the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York. The AIDS Council is marking its 25th year of efforts to reduce the risk, fear, and incidence of HIV infection, encourage the independence of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, and promote understanding of their needs. The Blue Moon Gala will be held in the incomparable surroundings of the New York State Museum Terrace Gallery, with exquisite food and beverages from Classé Catering, and feature irresistible dance music from Good for the Soul. This black tie optional New Year’s Eve celebration will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. with a champagne toast at midnight. A limited number of tables will be available for this event, and we are offering two exciting opportunities for you to claim your seats in advance, while helping us meet our fundraising goals: •
Individual Honorary Committee tickets are available at $200 each, or

Sign up as a Table Captain and reserve a table of 10 for $2,000.
