Blest with a Burden The birds chirped a strange high tone And danced to a new excitement Something different is in the morning air And nature sensed its essence As you woke up to your daily chores A smile you wore; it was differently calm Not deceptive enough to hide your joy But charming enough to enlighten your soul To glimpse your life‘s finest moment But the morning peace will be shattered When the dawn of restlessness appear To burden you in nine moons of trials With tire and aches, stress and tears And your soul will stir up moods To calm a turbulent throat In the heat of the day To caress your weary limbs In the silence of the night To relieve the back off pain In the freshness of the morning To appease an annoying bladder Rest you will need; oh sleep in peace! And when you feel life’s motions within Hal--le--lu--ia! In joy dream pleasant dreams To the moon cast a bright smile At dawn join the birds in choir And yell the sun to hurry its lazy bum For restless nights must make haste And when your last moan resounds (Phew!) Whisper peace so the world would know Your bundle of joy will take its place To sing to your heart a new tune Thank the birds your companions Toast to the moon your guardian And rebuke not the sun For strength it will give Aha! In His house Let the priest know You were blest with a burden
