Dr. narinder kumar batra was appointed as punjabi lecturer on 01-03-1996. he has been serving in this school since 10-07-1996. His exellence in teaching is reflected in his results which are nearly hundred percent. He uses latest method of teaching which makes his teaching interesting and highly effective. His teaching is not limited to class-room only. Students come to him in his vacant periods to get thier problems solved. He encourages his students to do extra reading and suggests the name of useful books which they should read. It must be mentioned that he has been given the BEST TEACHER AWARD four times by Govt. of punjab (Deputy commissioner of Patiala), Lions club Barandari, Manav kalyan parishad and Patiala social welfare society. Dr. Narinder kumar batra is highly qualified. Besides acquiring the basic qualifications for his post, he has also got Ph.D. in Punjabi literature from Punjabi university, Patiala. He did his Ph.D. after joining the service but he did never let his studies interfere with his duty as a teacher. Being a versatile personality, his field of activities is very vast. He is constantly engaged in some activity for spreading awareness in society or fopr the upliftment of down trodden classes of society. The place of his job is not a place for him to earn his living only. He uses all his time in school for educating his students and for developing their personality. In the morning assembly he delivers brief lectures on topic like AIDS, Environmental Pollution, Preservation of Environment, Need for Adult Education or on social evils lke Dowry, Female Foetus Killings, Globel Warming or some other topic related to the development of personality of his students. Even a commonplace topic acquires importance and interest when he speaks about it. He inspires the students to raise their level of awareness and to cultivate good habits. He is also dedicated to spreading literacy among the adults. This school being a cluster-centre for National Literacy Programme, Post-Literacy programme, he is constantly in touch with the volunteers who are doing their best to sprea literacy among the neighbouring villages. He often visits these villages to give guidance to the volunteers and to encourage the illiterate villagers to join adult teaching centres. Being a efficient person, he has to do a lot of paper-work in the school, but never complains. His activities are not limited to school only. He is a regular contributor to nuwspapers and magazines. His critical essays, reviews, articles appear in all leading newspapers and magazines. He also writes on topic like AIDA, Environmental Pollution, Universal Literacy and social evils ets. He wrote two books namely "Guru Nanak Dev Ji dian varan : saroop ate vishleshan" (in punjabi-gurmukhi script) and "EK ONKAR SATNAM : a book on sikhism" (in english-roman script). He is particularly dedicated to the preservation and propagation of trees and plants. Actively associated with Eko Club, he has many times donated plants and often encourages his students to follow his example. He advocates Organic Agriculture ang gives knowledge about it to his students. Due to his efforts the school has a lot of plants and trees. He has contacts with leading clubs and organisations. On his advice the clubs and organisations have many times donated free books and woolen jerseys to the needy students. Many poor students have also received financial aid.
