Lalo remembers the cement walkway and heads for it but loses control, falling into the canal. Jorge and Jesse yell out as they follow Lalo’s lead. Antonio turns back, slowing down and notices everything calm and quiet. He looks back to see no one behind him; a peaceful chill runs through his body. Dessert plates empty on the table hold crumbs of pie and cobbler, the glasses of wine empty, the coffee mugs steaming as Antonio holds his stomach. Grandma reaches for the exposed wishbone of the turkey and pulls it out. GRANDMA Antonio, would you like to break the wishbone? ANTONIO Yeah, Mr. Trujillo grab the other side and break it with me.
