Families and Children for Empowerment and Development BUILDING CHILD AND YOUTH AGENCY PROGRAM Building Child and Youth Agency Program Children Association’s Policy 1. All children within the project regardless if CCF or non-CCF children with ages 8 to 14 years old are qualified to become a member of the association provided that he/she is interested to the different activities. 2. Children must undergo first in Orientation on the Rights of Children (UNCRC) other relevant materials. 3. Members are responsible to attend monthly meetings for BCA’s and quarterly meetings for BYC and must be willing to attend sessions. 4. Members may take away their legal right as a member of the association if; a. In-active in attending meetings for 6 consecutive months even if given noticed or invitation. Officers will send a letter to the concern member stating that he/she is no longer a member of the association; b. Transfer of residence outside the community assisted by the project; c. He/she is no longer interested, and has a valid reason to withdraw from the association provided he/she submit a letter of voluntary withdrawal. d. Became a member of the youth core group 5. BYC coalition of children shall compose of 7 officers and representatives from BCA’s. 6. The term of office of elected officers shall have duration of 2 years or may reelect provided he/she is qualified on his/her age. 7. The election of officers shall be done during summer and through secret balloting so as to practice the democratic way of voting. 8. All members of Barangay Children Associations are qualified voters and the BCYA coordinator and outgoing officers shall be the COMELEC. 9. Activities that require “parties” are not allowed. 10. For integration of Program and Sponsorship, identification of monthly activities for SR-CD sessions must be prioritizing. 11. A child who participates in the different trainings most likely on capacity building shall help or assist the BCYA coordinator and/or the project in the implementation of the activities.

All children who graduated from the children association shall automatically become a member of the youth core group. 3. Members are responsible to attend monthly meetings and must be willing to attend sessions. 4. Members may take away their legal right as a member of the association if; a.
