3. Cloxacillin 50-mg/kg/day

4. Erythromycin 50mg/kg/day

Antibiotics 5. Gentamycin 5-8mg/kg/day

6. Amikacin 15mg/kg/day loading dose 10 mg/kg/day maintenance

Antibiotics 7. Chloramphenicols 50-100 mg/kg/day

8. Trimethoprim-Sulfaethoxazole 5-8 mg/kg/day

9. Cefalexin 25-50mg/kg/day

Antibiotics 10. Cefaclor 20-40mg/kg/day

11. Cefuroxime 50-100mg/kg/day 20-30mg/kg/day – oral

12. Ceftriazone 50-100mg/kg/day

Antibiotics 13. Tetracyclines 25-50mg/kg/day

Amoebicides 1. Metronidazole 30-50mg/kg/day

2. Diphenhydramine 3-5 mg/kg/day

3. Mefenamic acid 6.5mg/kg/dose

Form:ula For Syrup & Susp. Weight in kgs. x mg/kg/dose x prep = ml /dose

Weight in kgs. X mg/kg/day x prep = ml/day divided by the no. of times to be given

For Tablet and Capsule: Weight divided by prep. Then compare to the desired range of the drug’s mg/kg/day or per dose
