BASIC ADULT REQUIREMENT FOR TOTAL PARENTERAL NUTRITION T.P.N requires water(30 to40ml/kg day),energy(3060 kcal/kgday depending on energy expenditure),amino acids (1-2.0/kgday depending on the degree of catabolism),essential fatty acids,vitamins and minerals.
