Banco Terra Opens Nampula Branch

PRESS RELEASE Banco Terra opens Nampula Branch Banco Terra today announced that is has received Central Bank authorization to commence operations in Nampula. A temporary branch has been set up which will open its doors tomorrow. Maarten Susan (CEO) mentioned: “Banco Terra’s core objective is to provide financial services to the unbanked population of Mozambique. Nampula is an important stepping stone towards the building of a nationwide distribution network. We expect the city to serve as a logistical hub assisting future establishments in surrounding rural districts”. He further stated that he expects to move to permanent premises in Nampula by the 1st quarter of 2009, and also announced that the bank has applied for approval to open a branch in Malema.
