Track Mat The mat is laid between the railway tracks and on each side of the track to absorb any oil or diesel that leaks from locomotives. The mat is secured between and beside the railway track by laying blue metal on the edges of the mat or nailed to the sleepers. The mat is oil absorbent, water repellent, robust and not easily torn. The mat will last outdoors exposed to U.V. for 12 -18 months.
